From a single seedling to a thriving grove
Npo Kaede began in 2008 as a neighborhood storytelling circle gathered around a kitchen table. What started as shared meals and handwritten journals has blossomed into a 501(c)(3) serving thousands across the Pacific Northwest.
Today we operate three community spaces, publish a quarterly zine, and fund grassroots projects led by neighbors, artists, and elders who shape culture from the ground up.

Cultivate with kindness
We honor each person's pace, language, and lived experience as essential nourishment for collective growth.
Stories are seeds
Narratives carry the wisdom of generations; we protect them as living medicine for our communities and ecosystems.
Steward with humility
We listen before acting, share resources openly, and trust that care given slowly returns in abundance.
